Team from The Ship at Caton look back on 100 days at the helm

The team at The Ship at Caton have been reflecting on their first 100 days in charge of the village pub near Lancaster.

Darren 'Chaz' Chaisty, Dan Barry and Ben Vandenbrink took over at The Ship earlier this year and say it's been "a whirlwind" few months.

"We wanted to make a place that was great for staff to work, a great place to come and eat and drink, and somewhere that was different," said Dan.

"Some 100 days on or so, there's more to come, but I think we've done that."

But their success comes with words of warning for others who may be wanting to enter the hospitality trade.

"The pub game is not easy," said Ben.

"There are things that need to change within the industry."

Nestled amidst breathtaking landscapes and brimming with nautical charm, The Ship Inn is your perfect destination for a delightful dining and a welcoming pub experience.

Alongside their regular menu, he has plans to introduce supper clubs starting in February and a six month roster of guest chefs, serving worldwide cuisine.

Bookings are filling up fast for the Christmas period and The Ship is also running a New Year's Eve party.
