Artisans based at The Factory in Kendal will be opening up their studios and businesses this weekend to coincide with the launch of the Felltarn Kendal Town Trail 2024.
The site, off Aynam Road will be opening up between June 28-30, as one of a series of Open Studios events in 2024.
The Factory is one of many Kendal businesses and locations featured in the newly revised and updated Town Trail, created by Amy Onyango of Felltarn as part of Kendal’s BID project.
Jo Vincent, whose Glass Studio has been based at The Factory since 2014, said: ‘’I’ll be open and happy to explain my work, as will porcelain ceramicist, Rebecca Callis, David Penn of the Artspace gallery, the team at Space2Create, Adam Atkinson of Utility Archive and Katherine Park, an upholsterer.
‘’The Trail is all about encouraging visitors to explore the town and find some of its hidden gems for themselves.
‘’We’d like to think that we fit into that category! The Trail and accompanying materials are also very much designed to be family friendly and were happy to welcome families on site.’’
Summer Open Studios at The Factory runs on Friday 28th June (2pm to 6pm), Saturday 29th June (11am to 4pm) and Sunday 30th June (11am to 4pm).
