A motorcycle passenger has died following a collision with a car at the near Kendal.
Police are appealing for witnesses following a two-vehicle collision on the A684 junction with the M6 at 2:40pm yesterday (July 28).
The collision involved a grey Audi A3 and a Kawasaki motorcycle.
The pillion rider on the motorcycle died at scene.
The rider of the motorcycle was airlifted to hospital where he remains in a critical condition.
The occupants of the Audi were taken to hospital to be checked over.
