Brandon Woolveridge, 25, of Melbourne Street, Barrow was charged with blackmail following an investigation into the exploitation of owners of missing pets.
He appeared before South Cumbria Magistrates Court this morning (September 27) and has been remanded into custody.
He’ll next appear at Preston Crown Court on October 25.
