A teenage motor racing sensation from Heysham has signed to compete on the British Formula 4 circuit.

Ethan Jeff-Hall has joined Argenti Motorsport for the 2025 ROKiT British F4 campaign.

Many Formula 4 drivers have later made the jump to Formula 1, including Britain's 2015 F4 championship winner Lando Norris.

During the 2024 racing season, 16-year-old Ethan gained many victories in multiple race disciplines, including becoming the 2024 OK World Karting Champion, and clinched the 2024 Ginetta Junior Championship in his rookie year.

He also received the 2024 Outstanding Achievement Award from Motorsport UK.

Ethan started indoor karting at five years old before transitioning to outdoor karting a year later.

His past accolades include winning the British Kart Championships Mini Max title in 2021, the Junior Rotax British Open ‘O’ Plate winner, Rotax Max Junior title and Rotax World Grand Finals Junior vice-champion in 2022, and the BKC Junior Rotax vice-champion in 2023.

Ethan became the double Rotax Max Challenge International Trophy champion in 2024, having been the youngest ever Senior champion the year prior.

He was also victorious in the Junior G-Fest.

“Heading into the 2025 British F4 season with Argenti Motorsport, I’m excited and ready to face the challenge," said Ethan.

"Winning championships like Ginetta Juniors and the FIA World Karting title has taught me a lot about consistency, adaptability, and handling pressure at the highest level.

"I know British F4 is a big step up, but I feel confident that my previous experiences will help me quickly adapt to the car and the competition. I’m eager to learn, push myself, and aim for strong results from the start. It’s a new chapter, and I’m ready to give it everything I’ve got.”

Michael Meadows, team principal at Argenti Motorsport, said: “We are very happy to welcome Ethan to Argenti.

"It’s clear he has a lot of talent, and what he has achieved this year is incredible, so moving into British F4 is the ideal next step and we look forward to helping him achieve further success.”

Recently Ethan appeared on the Saturday Sport Show on Beyond Radio (below).

This came after he attended the Scuderia Ferrari world scouting camp in Maranello, Italy, where he test drove cars on the same track used by Formula 1 legends such as Sebastian Vettel.

He was joined by other young drivers from Australia, Belgium and Italy, at the final instalment of the scouting programme by the Scuderia Ferrari Driver Academy, which was established back in 2009 with the aim of finding the most promising young drivers who could one day drive for Scuderia Ferrari in Formula 1.
