Staff at a Morecambe music shop are delighted after one of the world's biggest rock icons - Slash from Guns N' Roses - became a customer.
The legendary guitarist bought a guitar from Promenade Music in Morecambe.
David Wood, owner of the musical instrument shop, said having Slash as a customer was "unbelievable" and "exciting".
Slash, lead guitarist with the American rock band famed for hits such as 'Sweet Child Of Mine' and 'Welcome to the Jungle', contacted the shop on Marine Road East directly.
"We had an email, very clearly from Slash, wanting a guitar," said Mr Wood.
"We are the top UK importer for a lot of leading guitar brands.
"We love all our customers, but I think for a shop on Morecambe Promenade to have one of the biggest rock guitar players in the world as a customer is just unbelievable, and very exciting for the staff."
The purchase was handled by Gary Thistlethwaite, who works in the shop and plays guitar in bands locally.
Slash, real name Saul Hudson, then sent the shop a thank you email, saying he wished he'd known about Promenade Music when he was touring the UK with Guns N' Roses recently.
David replied saying Slash was welcome to visit the shop for a cuppa whenever he's in the area!
The Promenade Music boss said he couldn't confirm the type of product Slash bought.
However there has been speculation on Facebook that it may have been a pedal steel guitar.
