Morecambe Town Council is inviting grant applications for festivals and events taking place locally in 2025.
They’ve announced that they’re now accepting applications to the Festivals, Sponsorships and Events Grant Fund for the 2025-26 financial year.
The application window closes on January 24, 2025, with submissions expected to be considered in early February.
More information about the fund, the grant criteria and application forms can all be found here
The Festivals, Sponsorships and Events Grant Fund is a funding pot set aside by Morecambe Town Council, enabling it to award grants in support of local festivals and events that take place within Morecambe.
In 2024-25 the total size of the fund was £60,000. There is a similar, separate Community Grants Fund specifically focused on local organisations, service providers and community groups.
The Festivals, Sponsorships and Events Grant Fund is open to applications from any organisation that meets the criteria, which are in place to ensure public funds are used in ways that benefit residents and protect their future interests.
Examples may include local community-based not-for-profit or charitable organisations including voluntary groups, societies, clubs, playgroups, and schools, to name but a few.
The council encourage applications up to 18 months in advance of your project.
Completed applications forms can be returned by email to events@morecambe.gov.uk
Past grants awarded over the last year include support towards the Morecambe Poetry Festival, Barefest, Vintage By The Sea, Morecambe Pride, Morecambe Punk Festival, and the West End Winter Lantern Festival.
