Plans for a new development in Morecambe including a car showroom and car wash have been given the green light.
Planning permission was granted on Monday for the new development on land next to the Lancaster Volkswagen dealership on Mellishaw Lane.
Councillors gave the thumbs up to four new buildings housing 30 employment units, a new car showroom, car wash and valeting buildings, new roads, parking, boundary enclosures, landscaping and associated infrastructure.
The applicant is Mr Cox of Aston Cox Ltd.
A design and access statement, submitted with the plans, said: "The new Car Showroom is within the site area of the present Lancaster Volkswagen curtilage and will replace the present Automart sales which is housed in a temporary building.
"The new car sales building will house Automart plus two further car brands."
Lancaster Volkswagen and Automart are both part of the Cox Motor Group.
Lancaster City Council planners had recommended the scheme be given planning permission, with several conditions.
Councillors on the planning regulatory committee agreed, voting unanimously in favour of the recommendation at Morecambe Town Hall.
