A 93-year-old author from Morecambe who has raised thousands for a Lancaster hospice has released his latest book.

Tony Kadelbach has written 'Oh Canada - Over 20 Years of Discovery' to raise funds for St John's Hospice.

Mr Kadelbach's new book follows his first 'One More Step Along the Road' which was dedicated to his late wife Iris, who died in 2019. The couple were married for 61 years.

His second 'That Strikes A Chord' included his reflections on a lifetime of music. Both books raised funds for the hospice.

The latest book is billed as 'a Travelogue to the Land of the Maple Leaf'.

"I wrote it during the summer at the age of 93 years," said Mr Kadelbach.

"It is in soft back and in colour, and based on frequent visits made by my late wife Iris and I over that period of time to our family and Canadian friends, and ventures which we made to various parts of the country."

The book weaves history, geography and art into a theme of discovery, as well as the importance of family and friendship.

It is illustrated with many photos from the Kadelbachs' travels in Canada from more than 20 years of visits to North America.

"We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to our long-time friend and dedicated supporter, Tony Kadelbach, who has penned and published another wonderful book 'Oh Canada' which beautifully captures his travels through Canada," said a St John's Hospice spokesperson.

"Not only is it an incredible read, but it’s also for a wonderful cause, with all proceeds from the book being donated to St John's Hospice.

"We’re so grateful for Tony’s ongoing support and for sharing his adventures in this inspiring new booka spokesperson for St John's Hospice."

The book is available for a suggested donation of £10 to St John's Hospice, in all the hospice's charity shops in the local area.

All proceeds from the book will go to St John's.
