A lorry driver has been arrested after he was stopped by police on the M6 and drugs with a street value of £170,000 were found.
The HGV was stopped by officers at 7.40pm on Thursday on the northbound carriageway, close to junction 33 (Lancaster South).
When the vehicle was searched, 17 blocks of cannabis with a street value of around £170,000 were discovered.
The driver of the lorry, a 44-year-old man, was arrested on suspicion of possession of a Class B controlled drug with intent to supply.
He is currently in custody.
