An intrepid team received a great reception on match day at Morecambe Football Club as they arrived at the finishing line of a 24-mile charity walk.
The Walk for Wellbeing on Saturday was held to raise funds to help Armed Forces veterans in Morecambe and Fleetwood.
Walkers from both towns set off at 6am from Highbury Stadium in Fleetwood, and arrived at the Mazuma Mobile Stadium just before the 3pm kick-off in the Morecambe vs Fleetwood Town League 2 football match.
The purpose of the walk was to raise invaluable funds and awareness towards charitable projects in both towns, to engage with veterans, military personnel and their family members.
The projects aim to positively influence the lives of those attending through social connection, improved wellbeing and increasing future aspirations.
It was organised by Morecambe FC Community Foundation and Fleetwood Town Community Trust.
Beyond Radio's Phil McGrath was part of the charity walk on Saturday.
Afterwards, he and Stuart Glover, CEO of Morecambe FC Community Foundation, spoke to Beyond Radio's Beth Pipe.
The walkers arrived at the Mazuma Mobile to a guard of honour from the Shrimpettes cheerleaders, then were given a rousing reception by fans as they paraded at pitch-side before the game.
Both charities are aiming to raise a collective £5,000, with all donations split evenly to support both sets of communities.
