A fundraiser has been organised for a Lancaster family who suffered a house fire over the weekend.
The blaze broke out at the home of the Beaton family in the early hours of Sunday morning.
The family, including Andy and Brenda Beaton, and children, all managed to escape, but the fire caused extensive damage to their property on Marshaw Road.
It’s believed that it was caused by an electric bike charger.
Now, a GoFundMe page has been organised by Kellie Howson, who said: ‘’Andy and Brenda lost their home and everything they have worked for due to a devastating house fire caused by an electric bike charger, thankfully the family all got out and are ok, but they only have the clothes they were stood in and lost absolutely everything.

‘’We are starting this page with their consent so that we can rally round for our own and try help them start again, and all funds will be given to the family , please give what you can no matter how big or small.’’
A spokesperson for Lancashire Fire and Rescue said: ‘’At 1:13am on Sunday (June 25), three fire engines from Morecambe, Lancaster and Bolton-le-Sands attended a domestic building fire on Marshaw Road, Lancaster.
‘’Firefighters wore breathing apparatus and used two hose reel jets, a ventilation unit and cutting tools to extinguish the fire.
‘’Crews were in attendance for two hours.’’
