A Lancaster band with 25 collaborating members has big plans for this year.
The Arcane Hope, a six-piece when performing live, has collaborators with ages randing from five to 78 years old.
Singer songwriter Alice Evans is behind the band's creation.
Starting as a sound and music art project in 2020, the band was formed in February of last year in preparation for Lancaster Music Festival.
Listen to Conrad Till (guitarist) and Alice Evans (songwriter) talk about the creation of The Arcane Hope.
Their self-titled album ‘The Arcane Hope’, was created to provide original music to the festival.
Their ‘pop music’ style has since seen them continue to perform locally in pubs such as The Golden Lion in Lancaster.
Conrad Till described the Lancaster music scene as "vibrant", with "everyone being great and supportive".
Alice and Conrad agreed upon Lancaster and Morecambe being "the most extraordinary place on earth". The local area inspires the band's music heavily, and complemented the help they have received from local people over the years
In 2025 the band are looking to release their new single 'A Good Life'. The single features Rebecca Carradus on vocals, Oli Timmins on drums, and Jack Spencer on piano. This will be followed by a new album that is currently in the works.
The Arcane Hope’s next gig will be at The Pub in Lancaster on March 28, in support of the Lancaster Music Co-op.
They will then perform at The Tap House Unsigned night, supported by Beyond Radio, on April 9.
Proceeds from their performance will go to the charity Mind.
