Beyond Radio at Festival Market

This April the team at Beyond Radio headed over to Festival Market in Morecambe to find out more about the range of stalls they have to offer. We had a special broadcast from the market and met up with some great local people too.

Festival Market is a traditional covered market with around 80 stalls with everything you’d expect from a traditional market some things which are unique to just Festival Market. The ample parking at the front of the market makes it a breeze to park and with the cafes a great place to grab lunch and have a mooch round too.

When Beyond Radio visited we met with Karen Kay who runs ‘Kays Cards’ – a traditional card stall which has been in the family for over 30 years! Karen prides herself on providing one of the widest ranges of cards for any special occasion. Hear our chat with Karen again below:

Later we met up with Colin and Trish Humm, the husband and wife duo have a couple of stalls at the market with Colin selling over 500 different jigsaws, we found that there’s a great market for second hand quality jigsaws. Trish runs a Goth stall, lots of skulls, dreamcatchers and little bit of steam punk too. Hear more with our interview here:

Next we met with Tom Harrison who runs Festival Flooring, he tells us about the range of flooring and rugs he has to offer – hear it again here:

Jason Weiner runs Festival Bags and he tells us about how he got involved in the market. Hear our chat with Jason again here:

Finally Dave Butcher runs Festival Footwear, Dave had a upbeat view about the future of Morecambe and he tells us about what’s hot in footwear. Listen to our chat with Dave here:
